Alright, now we get to one of the best parts of Pokémon online RPGs, Battlling!
First of all the better way to battle is on MSN, AIM or YIM but you can also battle on the forums.
How do I get into a battle?
Well starting a battle is easy, you simply need to ask someone if he/she wants to battle with you and then find a ref (like me) to referee the battle. You can also ask a ref to find you someone to battle if they can.
If you don't have an Instant Messenger you can just use the forums to find someone to battle.
Alright now i'll tell you how to battle...
Once you have an opponent and a ref ready for the battle you first have to agree on what the battle will be.
(ie: 1 on 1, 2 on 2 etc.)
Then you and your opponent take turns calling out Pokémon and declaring attacks. Here is how a simple 1 on 1 Battle would go:
Trainer1: Alright Trainer2 how about a 1 on 1
Trainer2: Sounds good to me.
Ref: Alright everyone ready?
Trainer1: Yep
Trainer2: 'course
Ref: K, let the battle begin!
Trainer1: Go Carvahna (M/Rough Skin)!
Trainer2: Go Boss Moss! (Bulbasaur/M/Overgrow) Use Solarbeam!
Trainer1: Carvahna, Crunch attack!
Ref: Crunch hits! Boss Moss 84/100! Boss Moss took in Sunlight!
Trainer1: Good job, use Crunch again!
Trainer2: Now release the energy BM!
Ref: Crunch hits again! Boss Moss 68/100! Solarbeam hits! Super Effective! Carvanha 19/100!
Trainer1: Uh oh! Carvhana hang in there! Try another Crunch!
Trainer2: That's it Bulbasaur now use Razor Leaf!
Ref: Crunch hits once again! Boss Moss 52/100! Razor Leaf hits! Carvanha FNT/100!
Ref: Trainer1 wins and gets $100! Trainer2 loses and gets $50! Good battle guys!
Here is how the money making works for battles:
1 on 1: Winner/ref: $100 Loser: $50
2 on 2: Winner/ref: $200 Loser: $100
3 on 3: Winner/ref: $300 Loser: $150
4 on 4: Winner/ref: $400 Loser: $200
5 on 5: Winner/ref: $500 Loser: $250
6 on 6: Winner/ref: $600 Loser: $300
In odd numbered Battles such as 1 on 4 or 2 on 3 the money is decided as follows:
The average or higher of the 2 for example:
1 on 6 would be the same money as 4 on 4 because 1 + 6 divided by 2 = 3.5 round up to 4.
4 on 5 would be the same money as 5 because it's only 1 higher and so on.
(NOTE: Once again all Pokémon on the forum are and stay at level 100. They can use all moves that they would learn up until that level. But if you catch a metapod for example it would not now Tackle or Stringshot because you didn't evolve it from Caterpie.)
