No, you ask the other person if they want to trade, and if they say sure then you post something like this:
I'm trading my Gyrados for Jane's Hoppip.
And then the other person, in this case "Jane" will post saying:
Yup, i confirm the trade! Have fun with Hoppip!
See? It's pretty easy. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. ^^
